What material do you use for casting?
For the belly cast we use high quality, medical grade plaster sheets that are skin and animal friendly. For the glass belly we use the best quality shiny mosaic or glass and rhinestone to ensure a beautiful finish.

 

Is belly casting safe during pregnancy?
Belly casting using high-quality, medical grade plaster sheets is completely safe. We conduct an allergy test beforehand to ensure you and baby are safe.

 

How long does casting take?
Put aside an hour (60 minutes) for the day we will be casting, depending on the model you choose.

 

Can I come to your studio to get casted?
Although we do not normally do this, a special arrangement can be made.

 

How long until I receive my sculpture?
Due to the amount of work it takes to create a masterpiece, please allow for 21 working days to complete a mosaic piece and delivery/collection.

 

Do you deliver the completed work?
Collection of the completed piece is the responsibility of the client. We suggest you collect in person or use Uber Connect https://www.uber.com/en-ZA/blog/uber-connect-south-africa/. If you use an overnight courier company, please take out additional insurance. 

 

Do you only work in * marked Johannesburg?
Prices exclude travel costs outside of Greenstone Hill, Modderfontein.

A special arrangement can be made to travel outside Johannesburg and to other provinces. The travel costs and accommodation are at the client's own account.

 

What is your refund policy?
 

• Full refund 72 hours (3 days) prior to set appointment confirmation. 

• 65% Refund should the appointment be cancelled within 48 hours (2 days) of the set appointment.  

• No refund for completed pieces that are unclaimed/uncollected. 

• No refund for picture perfect pieces. Belly casting is handmade by a skilled artisan and minor imperfections are an integral part of originality.
